On board Silurian
Most weeks April through October she is either monitoring the waters of the west coast of Scotland for whales, dolphins, and porpoises, or serving as a floating classroom for one of the many Argyll island primary and secondary schools. Currently, the boat is moored in the channel and we are closing down the 2009 field season. winter time will be used to analyse all data. From here, I would like to thank all volunteers who participated in the research this year. Hope you had a great time, learned something about the cetaceans and the Hebridean (marine) environment and enjoyed the beautiful landscapes and wildlife.
