and
life can be very difficult for me sometimes since there aren’t
many sea eagles left.
Lots of my friends such as Mairi the minke whale and Duncan the
dolphin have the same problems too. There are lots of different
things which damage the places where we live and harm us as well.
One
day there might be none of us left at all!
Do
you want to do something to help us?
There
are lots of ways you can help:
- Just telling your friends all about
us is a great way to make people aware that something needs
to be done.
- Tell your class and teacher about
us. Some of you could even present an assembly about conservation
of the marine environment or cetaceans. Or organise a charity
event.

Why don’t you become a member
of the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust?
We’ll
send you lots of information about whales and dolphins and you
get your own special newsletter three times a year. It's great
fun and its full of things to do and fascinating facts about all
the wildlife here in the Hebrides.
Ask
your Mum or Dad first and then click on the text next to Stan
the Starfish. He’ll take you through to our membership page.
Or
why don’t you name a whale or a dolphin?
Out
there in the seas around the Hebrides are lots of whales and dolphins
who haven’t been given a name yet. Better still give a dolphin
a name as a birthday present for your best friend! How about naming
one for Mum? We’ll send you a certificate as well as pictures
and information about your whale or dolphin and keep you in touch
with what they are up to.
Make
a special wildlife group with your friends and raise some money
to help conserve the wildlife here in the Hebrides. You’d
better ask Mum or Dad first – or your favourite school teacher!
But then you can send the money to us and we’ll use it to
make sure that the whales and dolphins and all their friends have
a peaceful and happy life up here.
