Tursiops truncates

Bottlenose Dolphin; Copyright Phil Johnston
The Bottlenose Dolphin is quite stocky with a short beak. They can be 2 to almost 4 metres long as adults, and weigh between 150 to 400 kg. The Scottish bottlenose dolphins are somewhat special, because they are larger than bottlenose dolphins which live in other parts of the world.

Feeding
