Common Seal

Common seals Vary in colour from black, brown, grey and tan with darker patches, which are unique to the individual. Males are typically darker and larger than females. Their main predators are killer whales, polar bears, and sharks.

Common seal pups are born without a fluffy coat typically seen; these pups can swim almost immediately. They are normally born in the summer months and have large heads with a short body and flippers.
