Stone Fish

The Stonefish may be described as the world's most dangerous stinging fish. They are very well camouflaged with their environment and are covered with mud and sand, so you can hardly see them. They resemble small rocks; this is where their name came from. The species lives in shallow water. There venom which can kill a man in 2 hours, it's contained in a number of sharp dorsal spines. They feed on fish and crabs, which they catch by waiting for their them to swim past and then pounce.
