Feather star
Feather stars are radically symmetrical this means that they have a main body with arms coming off it like spokes off a bicycle wheel. The animal is cupped shape with numerous feathered arms (5-200). These arms have sticky liquid on them which helps to catch food. On their base they have stringy legs which allow them to attach to corals and sponges, which are both great feeding grounds. There mouth and anus are found on the underside of the animal. They are typically found in places with strong currents and are nocturnal, therefore they are mostly seen coiled up, through the day. They vary in size shape and colour, and are very eye catching.
