Support

HWDT is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) charity number SCO22403. It is a company limited by guarantee company number SC172338

It relies on support from many organisations and individuals and cannot operate without the contributions of its many supporters.

The main remit of HWDT is research and education. As such, all funding is directed to this purpose. HWDT is not a campaigning organisation, however, will contribute to campaigns that are consistent with our aims, such as those of Scottish Environment LINK, Marine Task Force, of which we are a member, and in this regard works alongside the other member organisations to help protect Scotland’s marine environment: WWF, Marine Conservation Society (MCS), Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB), Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society (WDCS) and Scottish Wildlfie Trust (SWT).

Funders

As a charity we receive donations from the general public but there are organisations and individuals that have donated either time, money or resources so that we can continue our valuable work. All of our donations, large or small, are extremely important. These Organisations have supported our work in recent years:
